ABOUT THE ROLE

Goodlord’s mission is to provide the best renting experience in the world and we’re on the hunt for an Intermediate Front End Engineer , reporting directly to a Tech Lead, to help us achieve this.

No two days are ever the same at Goodlord so what you’ll be up to will vary. The pace we move at also means priorities will change and you’ll need to be comfortable with this (we’ll support you!). But these are the things that will be core to your role and will keep you busy. 

The day to day stuff:

  • Following a personalised plan to grow as an engineer

  • Designing and documenting tech implementations that solve real problems

  • Implementing features on your own or pairing with other engineers

  • Owning the delivery of complex features

  • Identifying areas of improvement in code and processes

  • Proactively identifying and fixing major code issues

ABOUT YOU:

You should apply if you are:

  • Proficient with React and JavaScript development, ideally using TypeScript

  • Proficient with basic programming concepts and competent about more advanced ones

  • Understand the end to end flows of web applications

  • Are confident debugging issues across system boundaries, both in testing and production environments

  • Proficient at writing automated unit, integration and end to end tests

  • Open to learning new languages, technologies, and ways of working

  • Focused on providing value, solving end-user problems, and having a real impact on the organisation.

  • Biased towards collaboration.
